PRACTICAL SELF DEFENCE
Self defence must be fast, natural and efficient to be effective in a real life scenario. A simple strike done well can finish a fight or give you the space to escape your opponent. Sanda utilises the straightforward striking of kickboxing, combined with traditional wrestling (Shuai Jiao) and takedowns. After the student has a firm understanding of the basic strikes and takedowns, they progress onto complicated combinations, movements and evasion. Finally, to build confidence and real world practice, students can choose to take part in light, or hard, sparring sessions.
